Originally from Augusta, Georgia, Cheryl Smith has called Virginia home for more than thirty years, living much of that time in Lynchburg before becoming a full-time resident of Smith Mountain Lake. She knows firsthand the joys of #lakelife and the complexities of moving, having relocated nearly a dozen times since college.

Since 2020, Cheryl and her husband have bought and sold eight properties, including transforming their Lynchburg home into a successful short-term rental. Most recently, Cheryl served as the builder’s primary point of contact for their custom home, giving her unique insight into the construction process and a deeper appreciation for the details that make a house a home.

Cheryl’s primary focus is on helping clients at Smith Mountain Lake—whether they’re discovering the unparalleled lifestyle through buying a second home, luxury property, or smart investment, or seeking expert guidance to sell their lake house with confidence and ease. While much of her time is centered on lake living, she continues to serve her Lynchburg clients with dedication and care, ensuring a seamless experience, particularly for those navigating the sale of their personal homes or cherished family properties.

With an extensive background in marketing, sales, and nonprofit leadership, Cheryl leverages a vast local, national, and global network—along with proven systems and resources—to make moving as seamless and stress-free as possible. She firmly believes real estate is one of the most powerful tools for building wealth and is dedicated to helping her clients make informed, confident decisions.

In addition to her real estate expertise, Cheryl is a Master Practitioner of Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) and is pursuing certification with the International Coaching Federation.
