Amy graduated from Tufts University in 1989 with a BA in Political Science. After teaching at Kents Hill school in Readfield, Maine for 3 years, Amy and husband, Matt, bought a house in Freeport, Maine and renovated it into a B&B. They owned and operated Brewster House Bed and Breakfast for 9 years before selling in 2002.
Amy decided to join the real estate profession in 2003 and signed on with Keller Williams as soon as she got her license. She work as a Listing Specialist with husband, Matt Cartmell, who specializes in working with buyers. They raised their 4 children, who are now in their 20's & 30's, in Freeport. Their nest is not exactly empty yet as their kids still come home often on college breaks and vacations.
